At this time, there are no live televised Recopa Sudamericana events but we show you a history with the TV guide of the last broadcast seen on television.

We will update this Recopa Sudamericana agenda on TV when we receive confirmation from official media of the next live televised events of Recopa Sudamericana.

Since the beginning of this website, 15 live televised events have been published.

The first event published was on Thursday, February 15, 2018 and the channel that broadcast Recopa Sudamericana matches the most times was beIN SPORTS with a total of 14.

The Recopa Sudamericana is a tournament that faces the winners of the two main competitions in South America. It was founded in 1989 and, from its inception until 1998, it was played with the champions of the Copa Libertadores and the South American Super Cup . It then suffered a three-year hiatus until, after the disappearance of the South American Super Cup, CONMEBOL decided that the other place would go to the winner of the South American Cup.

The two participants face off in a round-trip tie. In the event of a tie in the overall result, the rule that gives double value to goals scored as a visitor does not apply. The champion is decided through an extension and, if necessary, with the dispute of a penalty shoot-out.

More than 15 teams have added this tournament to their record. The clubs from Brazil and Argentina are the two most successful countries , having won more than 20 twists. Olimpia is the only one who was crowned winner without contesting it, since in 1991 he won the two titles that gave access to the Recopa. As for the champions by competitions, the winners of the Copa Libertadores have conquered more than 15 editions and maintain a great difference with those of the Copa Sudamericana , the Recopa Sudamericana and the Copa Conmebol .

Nacional was the winner of the inaugural edition . The Uruguayan club defeated Racing in a two-legged tie with a cumulative score of 1-0. Fonseca was the first scorer in the history of the tournament and his goal in the first leg decided the final in favor of his team.

Between 1990 and 2004, on several occasions, the Recopa Sudamericana was played as a single match outside South American territory. In Japan, the venues were the Kobe Memorial Universal Stadium and the Tokyo Olympic Stadium . In the United States, the Miami Orange Bowl, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum and the Lockhart Stadium hosted the games.

The 2017 edition was especially emotional. Atlético Nacional and Chapecoense faced each other in what was a reissue of the Copa Sudamericana final that was never played due to the tragic plane crash suffered by the Brazilian team when he was heading to Medellín to play the first leg. The Colombian team managed to overcome the adverse result of the first leg and won by an aggregate result of 5-3.
